Harry Leslie Smith

Harry Leslie Smith, age 87, passed away, Wednesday, April 17, 2019 in the Christian Care Center of Bristol, TN.  

Harry was born in Belmont, New York on December 14, 1931 to the late Harry Whitney Smith and the late Martha Zeigler Smith. He was retired from the United States Air Force with twenty years of service and he also retired from Universal Fibers with twenty-eight years of service. He had moved to the Bristol area in 1971. Harry was a member of New Grace Baptist Church, Bristol, TN.

  Besides his parents Harry is preceded in death by two sisters, Peggy Pistner and Louise Rodgers.   Harry is survived by his wife, Ella N. Smith; daughter, Pamela S. Curry of Bristol, TN and several nieces and nephews.  

The funeral service will be conducted 11 am Saturday, April 20, 2019 in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Bro. Sam Haynes officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens with military honors conducted by the United States Air Force. Pallbearers will be Gary Nickles, Logan Nickles, Mason Nickles, John Davis, and Michael Lovejoy. Honorary pallbearer will be Dr. Andrew McCormick.
