Holiday McClanahan

Holiday McClanahan died at the age of 96 on August , 2025 after a brief illness. He was a long-time resident of Washington County. He was born in Buchanan County, the son of Josephine McClanahan (Van Dyke) and Samuel Meshack McClanahan. He served in the U.S. Navy and worked in various occupations into his 90’s.

He was preceded in death by his wives, Juanita (Cox) and Ruth (Borden). He is survived by his companion Ann Lane, his children Mark McClanahan (Irene Ultee) of Fredericksburg, VA and Deborah Bostic (Jeff) of Lebanon, VA), grandchildren Brennan Bostic (Shelby), Amanda Sykes (Wes) both of Lebanon, Alexander McClanahan (Bethany Bruno) of New Haven, Connecticut, and Jonathan McClanahan (San Francisco). He leaves four great grandchildren: Blake and Kaylee Sykes and Bennett and Briggs Bostic.

Interment will be private, and a memorial service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to your favorite charity.
