Ina Hodge Hicks

Ina Ruth (Hodge) Hicks, 78, of Abingdon, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 20, 2023. She was reunited with her husband of 24 years, Charles Edward Hicks, her parents, Universal Counts Hodge and Jerry I. Hodge, and siblings Nancy Konieczny, Jackie Ivan “Jack” Hodge, and Verna Sue Hibler.

Ina is survived by her daughter, Tammie and husband Gary Lester; grandson Gavin Lester; sisters Zetta Ann Warner, Mary Eloise “Ella” Cuddy, Rosa Gregory, Lila Carter; brother Jerry L. Hodge; and several nieces and nephews.

Ina was born March 29, 1945, in Clintwood, Virginia where she graduated high school and attended Technical Education School following graduation. Ina worked in accounting and administrative positions at; Vissta Training Center, Cook Associates, and Virginia National Bank. Ina was a devoted mother and grandmother.

Visitation with the family will be held 2:00-3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 23, 2023, in the Main Street Location of Farris Funeral Service.  Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Jerry Eggers officiating.  A committal service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday in Forest Hills Memory Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
