October 27, 1956 — May 7, 2023

James Glenn Gammon, born on October 27th, 1956 in Prince George County, Virginia to the late James Lee Gammon and Reba Jean Pomeroy. He passed away peacefully at his residence in Bristol, Virginia on May 7th, 2023.

James was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He is survived by his loving wife of many years Lisa Gammon; his sons Juan Gammon and wife Christie, Devin Gammon and wife Jade and Christian Gammon; his brother Steve Gammon and sister Malinda Villani as well as seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

James graduated high school in Hendersonville, Tennessee where he grew up before beginning his career. He spent many dedicated years working as a supervisor at Line Power Electric Utility Company where he was greatly respected by colleagues and peers alike.

James' proudest accomplishment was being a Christian and attended Covenant Fellowship in Bristol, Virginia.

In addition to his passion for community work James enjoyed biking through the scenic backroads of the area he called home. When not on his bike James could often be found on the golf course with close friends or indulging in one of his favorite hobbies: shooting.

We remember James as a kind soul with a heart full of love for those around him. His dedication to family and community is an inspiration to us all and he will be deeply missed by those who knew him best. We take comfort in knowing that James is now reunited with those who have gone before him including his mother Reba Jean Pomeroy, father James Lee Gammon and brother Matthew Kerns.

At the family's request, no services will be held.
