James Willis Wagner

James Willis Wagner, age 86, passed on Sunday, June 9, 2025, in Abingdon, VA. He and his wife, Betty, lived in several places including Chilhowie, Glade Spring, and Kingsport for several years. James enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as being a member of the Abingdon Masonic Lodge #48 for many years.

James was preceded in death by his parents, William Wagner and Lucy Wagner; son, Larry Wagner; brothers. Billy Wagner and Franklin Wagner; and granddaughter, Andreana Mcvicker.

He is survived by three daughters, Debra Sims, Sherry Cross, and Michelle Wagner; 15 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2025, in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Rev. Tim Bird officiating. Interment will be held privately in the Colonial Chapel Mausoleum of Forest Hills Memory Gardens.
