Bristol, VA - James Walter Davis, passed on May 2, 2026, in Bristol, Tennessee. Born on May 14, 1948, in Camden, New Jersey, James lived a life marked by dedication, service, and unwavering commitment to those around him.
James was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, having served honorably during the Vietnam War. His time in the military demonstrated his courage and devotion to his country, qualities that remained evident throughout his life.
Following his service, James pursued a career as a loan officer where he was known for his integrity, professionalism, and the genuine care he showed towards his clients and colleagues. He received his education at Father Judge High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, laying a foundation of knowledge and discipline that would support his future endeavors.
He was the beloved son of George Warren Davis and Rose Locilento Davis, both of whom have preceded him in death. He was also the cherished husband of Nancy Campbell, who passed away before him. In his final years, James was cared for by Christine Cullop, whose compassion and dedication provided him comfort and support. Christine's grandchildren, Kayla Flynn and fiancée Stacy Edmonds, were also part of the close circle who stood by James, offering friendship and kindness.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2026, in Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Pastor Mike Coonley officiating. Military rites will be conducted by Highlands Veterans Honor Guard and the United States Marine Corps.
