Janet Glynn Ryburn

Roanoke, VA – Janet Glynn Ryburn, age 91, passed on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at her home.  Janet was a graduate of Glade Spring High School and retired from J.C. Penney.  She enjoyed painting, art, gardening and had a never-ending desire to learn new things.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Gerald and Mary Regan Ryburn; husband, Ralph Dunn Ryburn; and brother, Jerry Ryburn, Jr.

Janet is survived by three daughters, Shareen Stone and husband Tim of Roanoke, VA, Careen Meadows and husband Gregory of Peterstown, WV, and Joyce Taylor and husband Gary of Bristol, VA; two sisters, Marie Ryburn and Landa McCrady, both of Roanoke, VA; three grandchildren, Matthew Shane Farmer, Andrew Gregory Meadows, and Renae Corell Hall; ten great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Carter Ryburn; sister-in-law, Carolyn Ryburn; several nieces and nephews; very special friends, Cathern and Allen Jones; and special neighbors, Julian, Linda and “Dad”, plus Sandi Evans.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2023, in Mt. Rose Cemetery with Zachary Hall officiating.  Those wishing to attend the service are asked to convene at the cemetery.
