Janice Lou Glass, 61, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2009.
She was born on October 11, 1947 in Lee County, VA and was a daughter of the late Clayton and Anna Mae Carroll. She worked at Johnston Memorial Hospital for 40 years as a nurse and had devoted her life to the care of others. She was a member of Landmark Baptist Church in Glade Spring. Janice loved flowers and gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Glass.
Survivors include one son Jason Glass and his wife Rachel of Meadowview; one brother David Carroll and his wife Janice of Jonesville, VA; one nephew Thomas Justin Carroll, her dear friend Carol Compton, and all her friends at JMH. The family would also like to extend a special thanks to Janice's special friends Janie Jessee, Vivian Freeman, and Dr. Ross and his staff.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2009 at 1pm at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Pastor William Hamm, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Darrell Belcher, Jamison Bowman, Jerry Freeman, Billy Joe Blevins, Dr. Ellison Conrad, Alfred Glass, Randy Glass, and family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon.
