Jay Fairly Osborne

Jay Fairly Osborne, age 83, passed on Sunday, July 6, 2025, in Russell County Hospital. Jay was born in Cedar Bluff, VA May 28, 1942, to the late J.T. and Virgie Proffitt Osborne. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force was employed for many years as a mechanic for Washington County Public Schools.

In addition to his parents, Jay was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul, George, and Harlan Osborne, and sisters, Charlotte, Helen, Opal, and Shirley. Jay is survived by his sister-in-law, Tilda Osborne, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2025, in Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Pastor Steve Vaughan officiating.
