Jeffrey “Jeff” Slade Evans, age 62, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at his home. Jeff was a graduate of Patrick Henry High School and a member of Wright’s Chapel Church. Jeff studied psychology at VCU in Richmond. He was an executive chef in Richmond, VA for 20 years. Jeff enjoyed helping people with their yardwork and housework. Jeff was very charitable and was always helping the elderly. He worked with the brain injury program and enjoyed walking 2-5 miles a day.

Jeff was preceded in death by his mother and a half-brother, Harry Gordon.

Survivors include his daughter, Tiffany Evans Martin and husband, Richard; his father, Jim Evans and wife, Kathy; granddaughter, Lyric Martin; brother, Daniel Evans; sister Jennifer Evans; one half-brother, Johnny Gordon; one half-sister, Dana Davis; stepbrothers Jeremy Harris and Jason Harris; godmother, Jettie Blevins; special friends, Candy Bishop, Mason Bishop, Logan Bishop, Donna Shook, Fiona Miller and Matt Miller.

The family will have a celebration of life at Wright’s Chapel on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Celebrating Jeff with a pot luck dinner is just what he would want.
