John David Heath

John David Heath, age 87, of Glade Spring, Va., passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at Valley Health Care Center. He was born September 2, 1931, to the late Rube Heath and Maggie Powers Heath.
John was a member of Chilhowie Baptist Church and served his country in the United States Army. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his step-mother, Becky Heath; three brothers, Jessee, Ben, and Clarence; and five sisters, Edith, Ruby, Mary, Gray, and Ruth.
John is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Laura Belle Hicks Heath; sister, Shirley Gainer of Columbia, Penn.; brother, Hurley Heath and wife, Patsy, of Chilhowie, Va.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held in the mausoleum of Mt. Rose Cemetery on Wednesday, November 28, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. with David Hodges officiating.
