John David Terry

Abingdon, VA – John David Terry, age 48, passed on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Valley Rehab and Nursing Center.  John grew up in West Virginia and moved to Abingdon with his family during his teenage years.  He was a graduate of Abingdon High School and was fascinated by guitars, drums, Scooby Doo, tattoos, and enjoyed making glass beads and marbles.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Douglas Patrick Terry and Susan Hamel Terry.  He is survived by his brother, Craig Terry and wife Chelsea of Harpers Ferry, WV; aunts, Sandy Joyce, Sally Epton, Judy Terry, Libby Hamel and Jan Tennant and husband Reg; uncle, Bill Hamel; and several cousins.

A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
