Johnnie Edward Mitchell, Sr.

Bristol, VA – Johnnie Edward Mitchell, Sr., age 83, passed on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at his home with his family by his side. Mr. Mitchell was a long-time employee of Mid-Mountain and enjoyed woodworking. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walt and Euva Baldwin Mitchell; two daughters, Amanda Mitchell and Arheeda Mitchell Harless; and several siblings.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary Lewis Mitchell; son, Johnnie E. Mitchell, Jr. and wife Kim; three grandchildren, Racheal, Tiffany, and Allen; siblings, Archie and Peggy; and several nieces and nephews.

At Mr. Mitchell’s request, no services will be held.
