Judy Loraine Diviak Blevins

Judy Loraine Diviak Blevins, age 69, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at the former Cambridge House Nursing Home in Bristol, Tenn.  Judy was born on January 22, 1952, in Bradshaw, W. Va. She was the daughter of the late John Diviak and Frances Diviak Price. 

Judy loved the Lord with all her heart.  She loved to sing at church.  She enjoyed working at Grundy Hospital and Johnston Memorial Hospital as a Ward Clerk and CNA.  She was a former member of the G.W.R.R.A. Chapter H.  Judy’s family and her fur baby, Jumper, were her life.  She was fiercely loved by her family and friends and will be forever missed. 

In addition to her parents, Judy was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Arthur Price.   She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Ronnie Blevins; two daughters, Windy Sims (Dee) Ashley of Bristol, Va. and Misty (Randall) Lamie of Panama City, Fla.; stepdaughter, Melissa Blevins of Hillsville, Va.; stepson, David “Scotty” (Amy) Blevins of Galax, Va.; brother, William “Billy” (Monica) Diviak of Bristol, Tenn.; three sisters:  Barbara (Bill) Uhl of Kingsport, Tenn.; Mary Jo (Mike) Gibson of Abingdon, Va.; and Angela (Ricky) Hughes of Abingdon, Va.; nine grandchildren, Morgan (Jay) Tate, Aaron (Amanda) Hill all of Panama City, Fla., Sammi Ashley and Calen Ashley of Bristol, Va., Autumn Blevins and Katelyn Blevins both of Galax, Va., Hunter Blevins of Hillsville, Va., and Brennen Lamie and Dallas Lamie of Richlands, Va.; three great grandchildren, Caden Tate, Avannah Tate, and Jackson Hill; special nephew, Zechariah Gibson of Abingdon, Va.; and several additional nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express a special thanks to the nursing facility for taking such good care of their wife and mother for the past seven years. 

A funeral ceremony will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Rev. Jeff Harless officiating.  A committal service will follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens where sons-in-law and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.  Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 3959 Electric Rd., No. 357, Roanoke, Va. 24018.
