Katherine Hinchey Williams

Katherine Hinchey Williams, of Abingdon, Va., “In memory of a life well lived and a heart deeply loved”, age 96, died on Thursday, May 5, 2022. She was born on April 8, 1926, to Chellie and Eunice Walker Hinchey. Words cannot describe the loving person she was as she gave and never expected anything in return.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Williams, Jr.

Katherine is survived by her children: Kenneth Williams (Pat) of Glade Spring, Va.; John Williams of Abingdon, Va.; and Robin Dolinger (Jack) of Abingdon, Va.; her precious grandchildren, great grandchildren, her great-great grandchild; and a special niece, Sandra Hinchey Renner of Stephens City, Va.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 9, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Pastor Caleb Holman officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Damascus Road Baptist Church, 18844 Jeb Stuart Hwy., Abingdon, Va. 24211.
