Kenneth Ray Mullins

Kenneth Ray Mullins, age 75, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Specialty Hospital in Bristol TN. He was born on November 2, 1947, in Clintwood VA to the late Cecil Mullins and Lena Stanley Mullins. He was a graduate of Clintwood High School. Kenneth served in the United States Air Force from 1967-1974. He spent many years in the mining industry, prior to moving to Fredricksburg, VA where he worked as a rural letter carrier. Kenneth enjoyed the outdoors and coon hunting.

In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Mullins Price and nephew, David Eugene Price.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Scyrethia Mullins; one son, Kevin Mullins (Sunny Kennedy); one daughter, Tamara Mullins; two sisters, Ann Coleman (Tom), and Marie Deel; special uncle, Elder Stanley (Glenda); and his greatest joy his granddaughter Hollyn Mullins; one niece and several nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 18, 2022, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Farris Funeral Service, Main Street location. A funeral service will be held at Farris Funeral Serv ice on Monday, December 19, 2022 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Bill Bryan officiating. The burial will follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens.  Military honors will be provided by Highlands Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to, or Shriner’s Hospital, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa FL 33607 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
