Kimberly Dawn Goff, born on September 30, 1971, in Abingdon, Virginia, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2026, in Meadowview, Virginia. With a life marked by devotion to family and a love for simple pleasures, she leaves behind a cherished legacy remembered by many.
Kimberly was a woman whose days were brightened by the gentle pursuits of word searches, the calming art of crochet, and the joy found in listening to music. These quiet pastimes reflected her thoughtful and caring nature, qualities that touched all who knew her. A member of Gospel Tabernacle, she was a woman of strong faith and believed God was the provider of all things.
She was the beloved daughter of the late George and Carnes Estellene Latham Watson. Over the course of her life, Kimberly experienced the bonds of marriage with George Cook, Kenny Toomey, and Kenneth Goff, all of whom preceded her in death.
Her memory is lovingly carried on by her children: Joseph Cook and his wife Amber, Christopher Edmisten and his wife Nikki, and Ashley Cook. The warmth of her family extends through her grandchildren—Waverly, Wyatt, and Walker Cook, and Edgar and Kassie Edmisten—who undoubtedly brought immense joy to her life.
Kimberly’s siblings survive her, including Eddie Watson, Phyllis Trivett, Darrell Watson and his wife Kathy, Ronnie Watson and his wife Saber, Mark Watson, and Elaine Vannoy. Their shared memories and mutual support stand as a testament to their profound familial bond. She is also remembered by several nieces and nephews, each holding special places in her heart.
A visitation to honor Kimberly’s life will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Farris Funeral Service – Main Street Chapel, located at 427 E Main St, Abingdon, VA 24210. The funeral service will follow at 5:00 PM at the same location, with Pastor David Robins and Bro. Darrell Watson officiating. Kimberly will be interred in Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery privately.
