Larry Niles Church

Pound, VA – Larry Niles Church, born April 22, 1951 and age 75, passed on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Norton Community Hospital. Larry was a heavy equipment operator for 47 years and a member of Esserville Community Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carson and Gustava Moore Church; brothers, Kyle Blaine Church, Sr. and James Daniel “Jimmy” Church; and sister, Mildred Louise Church.

Larry is survived by his wife of 37 years, JoLinda Stallard Church; two sons, Scottie Stallard, and Michael “Andy” Church and wife Brittany; two daughters, Bettina Anderson and husband Richard, and Tiffany Combs and husband Aaron; two sisters, Elizabeth Bowman and Ruth Skelton; seven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 5, 2026, in Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Pastor Danny Smith officiating. Visitation with the family will be held 12:30 – 1:45 p.m. in the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA. Scottie Stallard, Michael “Andy” Church, Aaron Combs, Elijah Stallard, Steven Bowman, and Austin Cook will serve as pallbearers.
