Larry D. Parris, age 60, of Meadowview, Va., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at his daughter’s home.
Larry was preceded in death by his loving wife of many years, Peggy Parris; and father, David Parris.
He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Parris Adkins of the home; two grandchildren, who were his pride and joy, Jarrett Adkins and Trinity Adkins of the home; mother, Mildred Parris; brother, Wayne Parris and wife Diane of Damascus, Va.; three sisters: Linda Davenport of Hendersonville, Tenn.; Tammy Montgomery of Abingdon, Va.; and Teresa Buchanan and husband Larry of N.C.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 9, 2017, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Pastor Irvin Wyatt officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Larry’s many special friends will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral to defer the cost of final expenses.
