Linda Jean Parsons, 57, of Abingdon, passed away on Monday, February 21, 2011.
She was a daughter of the late Kyle Smith Kennedy, Sr. and Bessie Cleo Childress. She was a lifelong resident of Washington County, VA
Survivors are her husband of 43 years, Charles E. Parsons, Sr.; daughter, Patricia A. Mitchem of Damascus, VA; son, Charles E. Parson, Jr. and wife, Gloria of York, SC; three brothers, Lonnie W. Kennedy, Kyle S. Kennedy, Jr. and Glenn E. Kennedy and wife, Robin all of Abingdon; sisters, Mary M. Roark and husband, Joe of Abingdon and Retha D. Montgomery of Bristol, TN; seven grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 P.M. Friday, February 25, 2011 at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Paul Price officiating. The family will receive friends at Farris Funeral Service from 12:00 until 1:15 P.M. Friday.
