Linda Grace Lester

Linda Grace Lester, 72 of Glade Spring, Virginia, passed on June 15th, 2024. She was born on May 29, 1952, in Saltville, Virginia to Bob and Helen Lester. Linda was a graduate of Patrick Henry High School and Virginia Highlands Community College where she obtained an associate degree in business. She was an employee of KVAT for 37 years. 

Linda was a member of Glade Spring Baptist Church. Over the years she was the WMU president, a member of the Faith Builders Sunday school class, financial secretary, and a VBS volunteer. She joyfully gave of her time in service to the Lord. 

She is preceded in death by her parents Bob and Helen Lester. She is survived by her brother Bill Lester, two nieces and spouses Katie and Chris Jones and Maggie and Blaine Dartez and six great nieces and nephews, Silas, Sage, Moses and Solomon Dartez and Kennedy and Connor Jones. 

Visitation with the family will be held 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2024, in Glade Spring Baptist Church, 414 South Monte Vista Drive, Glade Spring, Virginia 24340. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Robert Blankenship officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Rose Cemetery with Gary Lester, Steve Lester, John Norris, Jim Swartz, Chris Jones, and Blaine Dartez serving as pallbearers. Gerald “Peco” Norris will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
