Meadowview, VA

Meadowview, VA - It is with profound sadness and deep love that we announce the passing of Linda Jean Tignor on July 26, 2026, at the age of 76. Linda was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother and great-grandmother, and beloved family member. She dedicated her life to caring for those she loved, always putting the needs of her family before her own. Her kindness, compassion, strength, and unwavering love touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

She had a contagious laugh, a beautiful smile, and a warm heart that made everyone feel welcomed and loved. Born on January 1, 1950, Linda lived a life filled with love, generosity, and grace. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her family, creating lasting memories, and supporting her loved ones through life's celebrations and challenges. Whether offering a comforting word, sharing a laugh, or opening her home to family and friends, Linda's presence brought comfort, joy, and happiness to those around her.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, David J. Tignor; her children, David W. Tignor, Pam Cook (Scott), Sharon Rice (Jeff), and Jennifer Camper (Gary); her grandchildren, Kayla Hicks (John), Santanna Cook (Don), Casey Holmes (Coby), Brandi Vestal, Ryan Vestal (Bethany), Sarah Rice, and Emily Grace Camper; and her great-grandchildren, Kolby and Kamden Hicks, Grady and Sawyer Hause, and Blakely and Marli Holmes. Each of them will continue to honor her legacy by living with the same love, kindness, and devotion she shared so freely throughout her life.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Paralee Addair; her siblings, Bernard "Joe" Addair, Karen "Connie" Brooks, Judy Burke, Larry Addair, and Brenda Kay Robins; and her beloved great-granddaughter, Ellie Hicks.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the countless memories Linda leaves behind and the love she planted in the hearts of all who knew her. Her legacy of faith, compassion, resilience, and unwavering dedication to her family will continue to inspire generations to come.

"A mother's love is forever. Though she is gone from our sight, she will remain in our hearts always." "We love you, Sweet Maw."

Visitation with the family will be held 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2026, in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Pastor Dwayne Dillard officiating.

The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the physicians, nurses, and staff of Bristol Regional Medical Center, especially the 3 West team, for the exceptional care, compassion, and kindness shown to Linda and to our family during her final days.
