A graduate of J.J. Kelly High School and Berea College, Lygia’s passion for learning and literature was evident in both her personal and professional life. Her tenure at the Washington County Public Library was marked by her steadfast dedication to making information accessible to all, fostering a welcoming environment for patrons of all ages.

Beyond her esteemed career, Lygia found joy and fulfillment in her hobbies, including crafting, solving puzzles, photography, and reading. These interests reflected her curious mind and creative spirit, which she shared generously with family and friends.

Lygia is survived by her beloved brother, Ken Stallard, along with his wife Edwina Leigh Burden, and her nephew Benjamin D. Stallard, with whom Lyg enjoyed a close and special relationship with. She was preceded in death by her loving mother, Wilma Jane Riddle Lambert, and dear niece Amanda Burden Baker.

At Lygia’s request, interment will be held privately in Forest Hills Memory Gardens.
