Margaret M. Evans, 83, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025, in Abingdon, Virginia, where she spent her final years surrounded by community and nature.

Born on May 20, 1942, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Margaret was the beloved daughter of the late Anna and Raymond Bell. She was a long-time resident of Levittown, Pennsylvania, where she raised her family and worked for many years as a dedicated X-ray technician at St. Mary’s Hospital in Langhorne. Later in life, Margaret followed her passion for holistic health and became a naturopathic physician. She relocated to Abingdon, Virginia, and became a cherished member of the Elder Spirit Community, where she embraced a life of wellness, learning, and connection.

Margaret was preceded in death by her loving husband, Terry L. Evans Sr., her daughter, Susan Evans, and her son- in law Andrew Kamarauskas.

She is survived by six of her seven children: Terry L. Evans Jr.( Paul Tyrrell), Katherine Rowland, Matthew Evans, Margaret Rowland- Kamarauskas, Linda Shaffer (Michael Shaffer), and Bridget Bernier (Jason Bernier). Her legacy also lives on through her grandchildren: John Rowland, Katelyn DiLorenzo (Douglas Khoo), Trevor Bernier, Coral Shaffer, Jocelyn Bernier, Kyle Shaffer, and Luke Rowland, as well as her great-granddaughters: Lianna Carter and Lilah Carter.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 15, 2025, at the Christ the King Catholic Church. 

Margaret’s warmth, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family and community will be remembered by all who knew her. Her life was a testament to resilience, compassion, and a deep commitment to healing and service.
