Margaret H. Price, 86, passed away at Johnston Memorial Hospital on Saturday, October 10, 2009.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dave Price, her parents, two brothers, and a sister.

She retired from Abingdon High School cafeteria and Southwest Virginia 4-H center. She was a faithful attendee of the Abingdon Church of the Nazarene for over thirty years.

She is survived by her daughter, Margaret "Lee" Price of the home; a step daughter, Mollie Dingus of Kingsport, TN; two nieces, Maudie Harless of Abingdon and Rev. Brenda Carroll of Maryville, TN; two nephews, Jack Harmon and Dean Warner of Lebanon, VA; three special "kin" who she helped raise, Sue Jones and Roney Wayne Harless of Abingdon and David Allen Price of Greeneville, TN. She is also survived by numerous other family members.

The family would like to express a special thanks to Dr. Swank and Diane Wise for all their wonderful care extended to her and also to Cardiovascular Associates of Kingsport.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at West Hills Cemetery in Lebanon, VA with Pastor Wayne Wilson officiating. Pallbearers will be Frank Forrest, Trevor Counts, Kenneth Hughes, Shawn Jones, Jason Jones and Claude Johnson. Those wishing to go in procession to the cemetery may meet at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service Tuesday at 10:00 A.M.

The visitation will be at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service from 6:30 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. Monday, October 12, 2009.

Flowers will be appreciated or memorial contributions may be made to the Abingdon Civitan Club (for Special Olympics projects, her favorite) at P.O. box 664, Abingdon, VA 24212 c/o Gus Croft, Treas.
