Margaret Holliday Puckett

Margaret Holliday Puckett, 86, of Abingdon passed away Thursday, July 9, 2009 in Richmond.
She was born March 24, 1923 in Washington County, Virginia and was a daughter of the late Arthur and Pearl Repass Holliday. She was a lifelong resident of Abingdon and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by husbands, Dan Kinder and Fred Puckett; brothers, Monroe, Robert, Roy and Harry; and sisters, Lillian and Nellie.
Survivors are her son, James E. Kinder and wife, Juanita H. of Quinton, VA; grandsons, Allan Kinder of Quinton, VA, and Bradley Kinder of Lanexa, VA; great grandson, Joshua Kinder of Lanexa; great granddaughters, Miranda Kinder, and Laura Ann Kinder both of Lanexa; step children, Pat Johnson of Louisburg, NC, Chuck Puckett of Richmond, VA, and Doug Puckett of Newpoint, VA; step grandsons, Brandon Puckett of Waldorf, MD, and Wesley Puckett of Richmond, VA; step granddaughter, Erika Johnson of Louisburg, NC; step great grandson, Jackson Puckett of Waldorf, MD; brother, Fred Holliday of Saltville, VA; sister-in-law, Helen Holliday of Abingdon; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 14, 2009 in Knollkreg Memorial Park in Abingdon with Rev. Harry Booher officiating. Interment will follow. The family will receive friends at Farris Funeral Service from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. Monday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Valley Rescue Squad, 7712 Hayters Gap Rd, Saltville, VA 24370.
