Margaret Juanita Mock Neese

Margaret Juanita Mock Neese, age 91, left her earthly home on June 15, 2013, thirteen days shy of her 92nd birthday. Juanita was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who was known for her Sunday meals, and her bountiful gardens that she shared with the community. Another one of her many talents was that of a seamstress. She also consistently participated in area road races into her eighties. She was a member of the Black's Fort Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution, Anna Stonewall Jackson Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, and the Greenfield Baptist Senior Adult Women Sunday School Class.

She was the daughter of the late James Oscar and Margaret Alma Clark Mock. She was also preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Carl Edward Neese, and her brother, James Donovan Mock, who was killed during World War II.

Juanita is survived by her daughter, Doris Wells and husband Warren of Meadowview; her sons, Wayne Neese and wife Rhonda of Meadowview, and Larry Neese and wife Darlene of Bristol, VA. She is also survived by her six grandchildren; Alyson Neese Brown and husband Aaron of Murfreesboro, TN, Vickie Wells and fianc�© Phillip Davis of Bristol, TN, Larry Neese, Jr. and fianc�© Natalie Phillips of Bristol, VA, Ashley Neese and fianc�© Curtis Bumgardner of Roanoke, VA, Michael Neese , and Carl Wells and wife Audrey of Abingdon; her three great-grandchildren Drew, Graysen, and Harper Brown of Murfreesboro, TN. Brothers-in-law include Buford Neese of Meadowview and Bernard Neese and wife Charline of Abingdon. Sisters-in-law include Vivian Mock of Abingdon, Dorothy Cannon of Glade Spring, and Doris Neese of Bristol, VA along with numerous nieces and nephews. Special friends include Katharine and Claudine Roberts, Alberta Copenhaver, Cindy and Phil Jones, and Marilou Preston.

Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 17, 2013 at Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Reverend Tom Capron, Reverend Ralph Kidd, and Reverend Ron Gilbert officiating. Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Graveside committal services will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Knollkreg Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Aaron Brown, Larry Neese, Jr., Curtis Bumgardner, Michael Neese, Carl Wells, and Phil Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be great-grandson, Drew Brown, nephews, and great-nephews.
