Marilyn Marie Musick

Marilyn Marie Musick, age 68, of Abingdon, Va., passed away on April 6, 2026, in her home. She was born on March 7, 1958, in Richlands, Va., to the late Berkley and Verlean Musick.

Marilyn was quite the spitfire—this is what made her so lovable. She served in the Marine Corps, was a fantastic nurse, a loving mother, and a Grammy who would let her grandsons get away with anything. She enjoyed exploring *almost* the entire lower 48 with her travel trailer and her dogs, Lily and Whiskey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three siblings: Ira Musick, Swanson Musick, and Wanda Powers.

Marilyn is survived by her three children: Autumn Musick and husband, Sean Lamberger, of Abingdon, Va.; Johnetta Musick and wife, Sarah, of Lake Stevens, Wash.; and Tyler Musick and wife, Ashley, of Lebanon, Va.; two sisters: Shirley Brown and husband, Herb, of Blountville, Tenn.; and Linda Barton of Lebanon, Va.; and four grandchildren: Charlie Lamberger, Bruce Lamberger, Maddox Musick, and Mason Musick.

A memorial service to honor Marilyn's life will be held on Sunday, April 12, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, located at 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, Virginia 24210, with Celebrant William Denton officiating. Military honors will be rendered by the United States Marine Corps.
