Mark Wayne Anderson, age 58, passed away at his home. He was born on April 20, 1964, to the late RJ Anderson and Ethel Lee Roark Anderson. Mark graduated from Abingdon High School in 1982 and was currently employed by the Meadowview Community Clinic. A writer since his high school and college days, Mark has written countless Christmas plays, skits, children’s devotions and puppet scripts for his home church. Three of his Christmas plays were published nationally by Eldridge Publishing Co., a non-denomination publisher serving the drama needs of churches all across the country. He enjoyed attending church services at several local churches on Sundays. Mark was a collector of Justice League memorabilia and flea marketing. He enjoyed going to the movies and eating out with his friends.
Survivors include four sisters, Kitty Hartsock and her husband, Jerry, Jane Reynolds and her late husband Dickie, Jo Anna Bellamy and her husband, Leonard, and Sandy Roark and her husband Vann; one brother, Timmy Anderson and his wife, Teresa; special friends, Marsha Heath and Tony Roberts; and nieces and nephews, Courtney, Kelly, Chad, Brian, Sheri, Kimberly, Tiffany and Nathan.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 18, 2023, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service.
