Melva Jean Fullen

Melva Jean Fullen, a beloved member of the community, passed away on December 13, 2023, at the age of 76. Born on March 17, 1947, in Virginia, Melva will forever be remembered for her deep devotion to her faith and her love for reading her bible.

Melva's proudest accomplishment was her unwavering devotion to the Lord. Her love for Him was evident in every aspect of her life. She found solace and guidance within the pages of her bible and cherished the time she spent in fellowship with others who shared her faith. Melva's dedication to living a virtuous life inspired those around her and left an indelible imprint on their souls.

Throughout her life, Melva exuded warmth and kindness. She possessed a gentle spirit that drew people towards her like a beacon of light. Always quick with a smile or comforting word, she had an innate ability to make others feel valued and loved. Whether it was lending an empathetic ear or offering words of encouragement, Melva had a profound impact on the lives she touched.

Melva Jean Fullen is survived by her loving family, her sisters, and nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her.

As we gather to celebrate Melva's life, let us remember the warmth she brought into our lives and the impact she made on our souls. May her legacy serve as an inspiration for us all to live with unwavering faith and love for one another.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 22, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Farris Funeral Service - Main Street Chapel. It will be an opportunity for friends and family to pay their respects and share their fond memories of Melva. The funeral service will follow immediately after, starting at 2:00 PM, with Billy Fullen officiating.  Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memory Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
