Mona L. Thomas, age 67, went to be with her Father in heaven on Friday, May 12, 2023. She was born on May 4, 1956. She was preceded in death by her father William Sheppard; daughter, Ruthie Tolbert; and her granddaughter, Elizabeth Rose Clay. She was followed in death by her mother, Elizabeth Prater Sheppard on May 13, 2023.
Mona was a loving person with a kind heart. She cherished God and her family. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Elmer Thomas; daughter, Virginia Linkous; and grandson, George Linkous all of Saltville, VA.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
