Pauline Edna Poston, age 81, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2009 at her home.
She was born September 15, 1928 to the late Wyndom and Edna Johnson in Washington County, VA. Pauline enjoyed solving puzzles and watching television. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Poston, Sr., one daughter, Jeanie Helton, one brother, Arlan Paul Johnson, and three sisters, Alice Faye Johnson, Bertie Mae Scott, and Sadie Ruth Eldridge.
She is survived by three sons, Charles Poston, Jr. and his wife Darlene of Saltville, Rodney Poston and his wife Angela of Glade Spring, and Bobby Poston and his wife Debbie of Chilhowie; four daughters Glenda Sexton and her husband Scott of Glade Spring, Sherry Kindlesparker and her husband Bob of Goldsboro, NC, Pam St. John and her husband Jerry of Glade Spring, and Darlene Turman and her husband Bill of Chilhowie; one sister Lillian Hayden of Chilhowie; nineteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at 11 AM at Mount Rose Cemetery with Pastor Darlene Litton officiating. Pallbearers will be Todd St. John, Jamie Sexton, Jason Sexton, Zach Kindlesparker, Richard Poston, Jarrod Poston, Adam Poston, and Travis Helton. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 1, 2009 from 6 until 9 p.m. at the Main Street Chapel, Farris Funeral Service.
