Phyllis Darnell Hill

Bristol, VA – Phyllis Darnell Hill, age 72, passed on Monday, February 6, 2024, in Holston Valley Medical Center.  Phyllis was a graduate of Grundy High School and moved to Washington D.C. as a young adult.  She enjoyed being able to retire at age 45 from MCI Communications and returned to Southwest Virginia.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Gladys Yates Hill; brother, Kenneth Hill; and sister, Aileen Ely.  She is survived by her brother, Clayton Hill and wife Cheryl; Nieces, Jennifer and Heather; Great-nieces, Ashley, Courtney and Paisley; Nephew, Hunter; and Great-nephews, Zander and Dave. 

A private graveside service will be held in Knollkreg Memorial Park.
