Rebecca Ann Hoback “Becky” Corvin, age 77, of Abingdon, Va., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at Johnson City Medical Center. She was formerly employed as a switchboard operator for United Telephone Company in Wytheville, Va. Becky’s passion was caring for her children and grandchildren whom she dearly loved. She was a former member of Blackwell Chapel United Methodist Church and was currently a member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church.
Becky was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Cecil Bernard Corvin; parents, Charles Hoback and Elvira Spraker Hoback; two brothers, Edwin Hoback and Wayne Hoback; and a sister, Peggy Cline.
She is survived by her son, Justin Corvin and wife, Becky, of Pembroke, Ga.; daughter, Tonya Graham and husband, Mark, of Abingdon; four grandchildren, Colin Graham, Cameron Rivers, Brent Corvin, and Jase Corvin; great granddaughter, Maddie Grace Rivers; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. in the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Hwy., Abingdon, Va., with the Rev. Barbara Doyle officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. at the Forest Hills Chapel.
