Rebecca Jessee Barrett

Rebecca "Becky” Jessee Barrett, 81, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 4, 2023.

She was born on October 30, 1941, in Russell County VA, to BC Jessee and Agnes Hess Jessee, Becky was a graduate of Lebanon High School, a former nursing assistant and a homemaker. She was a member of Church Hill United Methodist Church in Lebanon, VA.

Becky was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Betty "Jo" Ferguson, brother James "Bud" Jessee, and grandson, Philip Ferguson.

Survivors include daughter Regina "Jeanie" Barrett (Daye); son Kevin Barrett (Pam); grandchildren, Amanda Cobb (Chris), Ryan Ferguson (Nicati), Kyle Barrett (Laura), and Joshua Barrett (Megan); great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Lincoln, Isla and Isaac; and sisters, Louise Haymes, Frances Schlichting (Marty), Clara Sue Thomas, and Linda Garrett (Freddy); nieces, nephews and special friends, including longtime friend, Faye Kegley.

Becky's family, particularly her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, were her joy. She also enjoyed collecting antiques, attending estate and yard sales, and holding her own annual yard sale in Green Valley. She generously shared her finds with family, friends and those in need. Throughout her life, her faith in Jesus and her love of family never wavered.

Visitation with the family will be held Saturday, March 11, from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Forest Hills Memory Gardens, followed by funeral services at 2:00 p.m. The burial will follow in the Forest Hills Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation, St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Church Hill United Methodist Church, 616 Morningstar Circle, Lebanon VA, 24266.
