Richard Shane Sullivan

January 26, 1967 — August 21, 2021

Abingdon, VA – Richard Shane Sullivan, age 54, passed on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at his home.  Shane was a 1985 graduate of Virginia High School and a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force.  He formerly worked at Royal Moldings and Columbus McKinnon. 

Shane was preceded in death by his grandparents, Otis Ballard Stout and Virginia Childress Stout; sister, Shannon Renee Abele; uncles, Jerry Lee Stout and Tony Stout; and father-in-law, Bill Jordan.

 He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Tina Jordan Sullivan; sons, Dakotah (Taylor) Sullivan of Abingdon, VA, and Jordan (Gabrielle) Sullivan of Johnson City, TN; mother, Sandra Jo Stout Sullivan; grandchildren, Lilly Shea, Brooklynn Marie, Camden Shane, and Connor William Sullivan; uncle, Ronnie (Teresa) Stout of Blountville, TN; nieces, Amber Nicole (Jr.) Bishop and Alexis Bishop; nephews, D.J. (Tiffany) Raulerson, and A.J. Abele; great nieces, Alex and Sophie Raulerson; great nephew, Draven Raulerson; brother-in-law, Anthony Abele; lifelong special friend, Sergeant William Wayne Odie; and his kitty cat, Sully. 

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, September 10, 2021, in the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA 24210, with Chaplain Cass Farrior officiating.
