Robert Franklin Vannoy

Robert Franklin Vannoy, age 70, passed away at his home on Thursday, November 24, 2022. He spent his working career in construction as a carpenter. Robert was a free spirit and lived without boundaries. He liked being considered an “outlaw.” Robert had a soft side as he liked to joke with and scare children. Often, his scares turned into laughter and jokes. Robert also had a soft spot for chihuahuas, and he had several through his life.

He was predeceased by his parents Dan Franklin and Edna Camper Vannoy, brother Eddie Vannoy, sister Ruth Ann Paust, and life companion Peggy Allison.

Robert is survived by his daughters Crystal Pearl Roe and husband, Jessee,  and R.J. Vannoy, sister Katherine Thomas, several nieces and nephews, great nieces Jasmine and Marhyla Paust.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Pastor Junior Gobble officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery where pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM prior to the service.
