Roger Poston

Roger Kelly Poston went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 4, 2023. He was the son of the late George (GK) and Ocie Kestner Poston. He was also preceded in death by his beloved daughter Teresa G. and son-in-law Randy Blevins; brother James “Mark” Poston; brothers-in-law James “Byrd” Bordwine, Hai Tran and great niece Avery Grace Coley.

Roger made his living as a machinist at Joy Mining Machinery. Roger attended Trigg Street Church of God. He enjoyed guitars, motorcycles, guns, sports, and spending time with his beloved family.

Survivors include his wife Mae Belle, son Ronald and wife Priscilla Poston, son Joseph and wife Jessica Poston, and daughter Jennifer and life partner David Snodgrass; two sisters, Barbara Tran and Phyllis Bordwine. Other survivors include grandchildren Justin Snodgrass, Keira Poston, Violet and Eric Poston, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.

A public visitation for Roger Poston will be on Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor Steve Vaughan officiating. A graveside committal service will follow on Friday, March 10, 2023 at 11:00 am at Mount Rose Cemetery, 10069 Crescent Road, Glade Spring, VA. Friends and family are asked to gather at the cemetery by 10:45 am Friday. Pallbearers will be Mark Warner, James McGhee, Tony Turilli, Michael Sawyer, Lee Hines and Rick Boonjaras.
