Ronald Lee Hicks, age 69, passed away on May 12, 2024, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. He was born on February 8, 1955, in Bristol, TN., to the late Johnny Hamilton Hicks and Virginia Cordilia Williams Hicks.

Throughout his life, Ronald made a significant impact in the workplaces he served. He worked tirelessly as a custodian at Greendale Elementary School where his hard work and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. Additionally, he lent his skills to MXI Recycling, Captain D's restaurant, and Bojangles, leaving behind a legacy of commitment and integrity.

Ronald also proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1978 to 1988, embodying the values of patriotism and selflessness.

In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by three brothers.

In his personal life, Ronald was a beloved family man. He is survived by his loving wife Carolyn Hicks, his daughter, Carla Jackson (Max), siblings, Nelson Hicks, Betty Tester, Joyce Harlow, and Shirley Jones, as well as his cherished grandchildren Gavin, Gage, Gunnar, and Gabrian Jackson. Ronald's dedication to his family was evident in the love and care he showed them.

Ronald Lee Hicks will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His kindness, work ethic, and unwavering love for his family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him best. May he rest in peace knowing that his memory lives on in the hearts of his family and friends.
