Ruth Dolinger Casey

Ruth Dolinger Casey, age 99, passed on Friday, June 13, 2025, in Abingdon, VA. Ruth was a graduate of Bethel High School and was a member of Walnut Grove Presbyterian Church. She loved her cats and dogs and also her and Tom’s “deer drives”.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Dolinger and Nannie Greenway Dolinger; spouse, Thomas Casey; siblings, Andy Campbell Dolinger, Samuel Fred Dolinger, Jr., Harriet Fulbright, and Freda James. Ruth is survived by several nieces and nephews.

A special thanks to the staff of Commonwealth Senior Living for their devoted attention, her special care giver, Stephnee Lloyd with Home Instead and special niece, Cathy Dolinger Swindall.

A viisitation will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. with a funeral service following at 1:00 p.m. at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service with Rev. John Markel officiating. The internment will follow at Knollkreg Cemetery.
