Scyrethia Ann Mullins

Scyrethia Ann Mullins, age 74, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Mullins grew up in Coeburn, Virginia, and attended Clintwood High School. She spent nearly 30 years living in Fredericksburg, Virginia, before returning to Abingdon to be closer to her family. She retired from the United States Postal Service as a rural letter carrier.

She was a faithful member of Abingdon Baptist Church and greatly enjoyed gardening, traveling, and spending time with her family—especially her beloved granddaughter, Hollyn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Jeanette Meade Mullins; her husband, Kenneth Ray Mullins; and three brothers, Sheldon Mullins, Donald Mullins, and Morris Mullins.

Mrs. Mullins is survived by her children, Kevin Mullins (Sunny Kennedy) and Tamara Mullins; her precious granddaughter, Hollyn Mullins; and her siblings, Landall (Phil) Yates, Reta Jane (Robert) Taylor, Ellis (Sandy) Mullins, Robin (Kevin) Yates, Ronnie Greene, and Teddy Greene, numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 30, 2026, at the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m., with Dr. Bill Bryan officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
