Shirley Ann Widner

Shirley Ann McCormick Widner, age 86, passed on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at her home.   Better known as the “Biscuit Lady”, Shirley made numerous friends while working at Hardees for many years.  She was a member of Carvosso Methodist Church. 

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Herman McCormick, Sr. and Flossie Ball McCormick; husband, William Glenn Widner; brothers, Bo and Howard McCormick; and sister, Polly Seymour.

She is survived by her children, Larry Widner of Abingdon, VA, Rhonda Widner of Abingdon, VA, and Thresia Newbury and husband Dale of Jonesborough, TN; two grandchildren, Courtney White and husband Michael, and Jessica Cannon and husband Tim; five great grandchildren, Liam White, Sarah Cannon, Haylee Cannon, Harley Cannon, and Wyatt Cannon; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2023, in Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Rev. Bill Breeding officiating.
