Smith Clarence Thomas, age 73, of Abingdon, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022.
He was born January 29, 1949, to the late George E. Thomas and Carrie South Thomas. In addition to his parents, Clarence was also preceded in death by five siblings, Odell Thomas, Emma Lee Jenkins, Lloyd Thomas, Clayton Thomas, and an additional brother who died in infancy.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Martha Ann Casey Thomas; two sons, Michael Allen Hamm and wife, Melissa, of New Mexico and David Andrew Thomas of the home; brother, Tommy Dale Rash and wife, Darlene, of Damascus, Va. ; and three grandchildren.
