Stella "Mae" Price Wright, 86, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 3, 2010 with her family by her side.
She was the daughter of the late Crosen and Verlie Price. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by sisters, Eva Widner and Dorothy Price; brothers, Cecil, Earl and Alfred Price and two grandchildren, Rita Lynn Neal and Zachary Allen.
She is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Frank Wright; two sons, Earl "Bud" Wright and wife, Mary Ann and Marshall Wright and wife, Phyllis both of Bristol, TN; four daughters, Wilma Neal and husband, Dewey of Bristol, TN, Ruby Baumgardner and husband, Roy, Ethel Riley and husband, Pete, and Hazel Baumgardner all of Abingdon; one brother, Clifford Price and one sister, Evelyn Widner both of Bristol, TN; 24 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and 2 expected twin great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 5, 2010 in Greenwood Freewill Baptist Church on Denton's Valley Road with Brothers Joe Powers and Floyd Nelson officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Baptist Church Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family will be receiving friends at the church for one hour prior to the service Monday or anytime at the home, 19338 Saturn Drive, Abingdon.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests for contributions to be made to Hometown Hospice, 611 Campus Dr. Suite 700, Abingdon, VA 24210.
