Teresa Robin McCoy Bostic passed away on February 17, 2026, after a courageous battle with diabetes and breast cancer. With a strong commitment to ensuring children be given the best opportunity for success in life, Robin dedicated herself to working with children as an elementary teacher and a speech therapist with the Buchanan County Public Schools. She was proud of her education and participation in school activities at Grundy High School and her successful matriculation at East Tennessee State University (B.S. degree in Elementary Education) and Old Dominion University (M.S. degree in Speech-Language Pathology).
In addition to her teaching career, Robin taught piano lessons, taught Sunday School classes, and worked with adults with intellectual disabilities. Robin adored her pet dogs, Chloe, Molly, and Nugget. She and her husband enjoyed visiting and traveling in the Smoky Mountains.
Robin is survived by her husband, Arnie Bostic, and his two daughters, Kellie Renee Fields and Ella Michelle Bostic. She is also survived by her sisters, Jeanne M. Cooper, Beverly M. Looney, Penny M. McCallum, Judy M. Little, and Sharon M. Collins, and several devoted nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her mother, Phyllis McCoy Coleman, and her father, Kenneth G. Coleman; her maternal grandparents, Walter S. and Mae C. McCoy; her brothers, Larry, Archie, and Scotty McCoy; and three cousins, Carey Yates, Diana Ball and Larry Scott McCoy.
Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 20, 2026, in the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Parrish officiating. Entombment will follow in Knollkreg Memorial Park.
Robin’s family would like to extend their grateful appreciation to the team of doctors and staff at the Johnson Memorial Hospital Cancer Center, the Intensive Care Center, and the Hospice Care Unit. In lieu of flowers, it was Robin’s request that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1999, Memphis, TN 38101.
