Timothy Winston Sykes, age 57, passed on Saturday, January 18, 2020 in Ballad Hospice House.  Tim is preceded in death by his father, Ollie Winston Sykes; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Warren and Eula Dowell; and sister-in-law, Eunice Poore. 

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Tammy Sykes; two daughters, Katie (Adam) Owens of Bristol, Va. and Kelly (Josh) Branson of Bristol, Tenn.; mother, Betty Sykes of Abingdon, Va.; brother, Eddie Sykes of Abingdon, Va.; and four grandchildren, Jackson Owens, Braddock Owens, Logan Branson, and Briley Branson. Visitation with the family will be held 6-8 p.m. Monday, January 20, 2020, in the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, Va. A private graveside service will be officiated by Pastor Frank Branson in Forest Hills Memory Gardens.  Eddie Sykes, Josh Branson, Logan Branson, Brandi Kestner, Adam Owens, and Michael Dowell will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to express sympathy online may do so by visiting www.farrisfuneralservice.com and signing the online guest register. The family of Timothy Winston Sykes is being cared for by Farris Cremation & Funeral Center, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA 24210, (276) 623-2700.
