Vanessa Kay Casey Chambers

Vanessa Kay Casey Chambers, age 63, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at Ballad Hospice House. She was born on September 12, 1959, to Louis (LC) Casey and the late Lois (Joann) Casey. Vanessa graduated from Abingdon High School in 1977. She graduated from East Tennessee State University as a Registered Nurse. She worked as a nurse for 40 years, during that time she worked at Bristol Regional Medical Center as a psychiatric nurse, she also managed a Home Health Center. She loved deeply and gave her all in everything she did. Vanessa loved the beach and enjoyed many trips there with her dear friend, Debbie Odum. People were drawn to Vanessa, she had a love and kindness for people that radiated from her, she never met a stranger and she touched many lives.

Survivors include her husband, Eddie Chambers; her father and step-mother, LC and Linda “Linn” Casey; siblings, David Casey, Lisa Casey Alexander; step-brothers, Jim Habera and wife Connie, Larry Habera and wife, Sandy; brother-in-law, Donnie Alexander; Sister-in-law, Valerie Casey; nieces April Habera, Amber Habera, Marley Chambers and Kylie Chambers; nephews, Alexander Casey, Phillip Casey, Isaac Alexander; great-nephew Marshall Casey; Father-in-law & mother-in-law, Ralph and Shirley Chambers; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Michael & Teresa Chambers; dear friends that have been supportive throughout the years include, Ed & Julie Perlman; long-time friends Debbie Odum, Ann Davis, Arial Felts, Jackie and Lana Everett.

The family would like to express thanks to friends that provided care, Julie Perlman and Tammy Scott Prindle. To all of you, both family and friends, there will forever be a bond.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 6, 2023, at the Main Street Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm at Farris Funeral Service with Stephen Richardson officiating. The burial will follow at Knollkreg Memorial Park. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
