Chilhowie, Va. – Wanda Christina Owens Tuggle, age 64, of Chilhowie, Virginia, passed away at her home on Sunday, June 20, 2021 surrounded by her family.
Born in Washington County, Virginia, she was a lifelong resident of Southwest Virginia. She worked in healthcare as a Nurse’s Aide, Med Tech, and Activities Director, as long as her health permitted. Wanda loved to read; her favorite authors were Nora Roberts and Janet Daley.
Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Tuggle; parents, Carl and Carrie Owens; one brother, Garland Owens; and one sister, Patricia Arnold.
She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Torres and fiancée Miguel; son-in-law, Pedro Torres; two brothers, Cecil Owens and girlfriend Cindy Davenport, and Robert Owens and wife Phyllis; one sister, Mae Morefield and husband Ed; three grandchildren, Sharenca, Gabriela, and Catina Torres; and several nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.
