William Wayne Eskridge

William Wayne Eskridge, born April 25, 1939, passed on September 20, 2025. He lived an amazing 86 years with distinction and love. He graduated from William King High School in 1957, The Medical College of Virginia with a pharmacy degree in 1962, and the University of Virginia Law School in 1966.

For many years he was a partner practicing law with the Penn Stuart Law Firm. He is a past president of the Virginia State Bar and is held in high esteem by his colleagues. He was an accomplished mentor, medical malpractice defense attorney and faithful friend.

Reading, an avid reader of especially history, bike riding, being on the lake, water skiing, snow skiing and spending time at our special Kiawah Island were favorite pastimes of his. He was a patient and loving husband, father, and grandfather.

The visitation will be at State Street United Methodist Church on Sunday, September 28th, from 1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. in the chapel followed by the service in the Sanctuary. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to State Street United Methodist Church, The Michael J. Fox Foundation, or the Lewy Body Society in Mr. Eskridge’s name.

He is deeply missed by his wife, family, and friends.
