William Jennings Bailey age 83, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at his home in Abingdon, VA.
William is preceded in death by his parents Newton and Mary Lucas Bailey; his wife Nora Hurley Bailey; siblings Hargis “Sandy” Bailey, Luttie Steffey, Josephine “Jo” Dever, Salley Steffey, Margaret Bailey, Robert “Bob” Bailey, and two infant siblings.
He is survived by his two children David Bailey & wife Julie and Deborah Bailey Everson & husband William; grandchildren Matthew Bailey, Tim Bailey, Lucas Bailey, Katelyn Everson, and Jadyn Everson; great grandchildren Savannah, Sierra, Zachary, Ty, Tucker; brothers Dean Bailey & wife Doris, Don Bailey, and Jim Bailey, sisters Evelyn Crotty, Ada Bryant; special neighbors Mike, Nathan, and Mr. Thomas.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00PM, Monday, May 2, 2022, at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Rev. Jamie Steffey officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery. The family will have a private visitation at Farris Funeral Service.
